Designer Wall

Growing up surrounded by the incredible artistic diversity of India, I developed a profound respect for heritage and craftsmanship. I fell in love with the artistry of our culture like the artisans who painstakingly hand-stamp gorgeous fabrics with woodblocks or weave intricate stories into textiles using centuries-old techniques passed down through generations. To me, it would be so much cheaper and faster to resort to mass-produced, digital printing, but fast fashion loses its soul. I wanted to create something with meaning. Bridging Two Worlds As a modern woman, I’ve always felt strongly that our wardrobes should reflect all the different facets of who we are. Some days we want the effortless, sharp chic of contemporary Western wear other days demand the vibrant, timeless grace of traditional Indian wear. At Anika’s Design, I wanted to bridge these two worlds. I wanted to design a sanctuary exclusively for women where you don't have to choose between modern global trends and rich cultural roots.
